Ardnahoe Distillery Gets Top Tourism Grading
1st November 2019
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Five Star grading from Visit Scotland, Scotland’s national tourist board.
Our distillery was officially launched to the public by Lord Robertson of Port Ellen in April 2019 and since then we have been very lucky to have welcomed over 24,000 visitors to our distillery visitor centre and restaurant, and look forward to welcoming many more over the coming months. We are extremely thankful for such an incredible team who work tirelessly each day to provide the best possible service for our customers.
Visit Scotland are Scotland’s national tourist board and they work closely with private businesses, public agencies and local authorities to ensure that visitors experience the very best of Scotland. They do this through marketing Scotland to all parts of the world to attract visitors and through providing information and inspiration to visitors to allow them to get the best out of their Scotland visit.
Further to this, they run a Quality Assurance Scheme which is an internationally recognised award. It recognises accommodation providers, visitor attractions and food sectors for their exceptional standards.

On Wednesday 30th October, Visit Scotland’s Regional Director presented us with our Five Star award.
We are very proud to be one of only two distilleries on the island and the third distillery in Argyll and Bute to have received Visit Scotland’s Five Star Quality Assurance award.
